Infection Biology will work to rapidly develop diagnostics, vaccines and therapeutics to prepare for and protect against current and future pathogen threats. The program will broaden understanding of microbial pathogens and host immune responses in a multidisciplinary manner. Our current program includes basic, translational and clinical research in the fields of virology, microbiology, immunology, genomics and population health. The program will also educate and train the next generation of scientists to combat the challenge of global pathogens.
